Final Reflection
I think the most formative experience from this semester was doing all the interviews. Forcing myself to go out and find potential customers and get their feedback made this product real to me. The experience I'm the most proud of is when I expanded my network by reaching out to professionals in the industry. This was very uncomfortable for me and forcing myself to do it was definitely a growth experience.
I wouldn't call myself an "entrepreneur", however, I have learned a lot about the mindset needed and the actions to take if you want to be successful. I think I'm now able to think like an entrepreneur should and I've learned what mindset I need to be in.
I recommend they think of a product they would love to build into a real business. My product is something I created for this class but is never something I would take into the real world to try and create. I think it adds depth to the course to have something you want to take and make into a real business.

I have a feeling many people are going to mention the interviews in this assignment. For me I said it was the hardest part for me. Going out and talking to a lot of new people and also experts in your field was uncomfortable but it was a food experience. I also said my tip was to create something that is realistic and to really buy into the thought that it could be a product in the future.
ReplyDeleteSadly I forgot to do this assignment but I wish I had completed it because I agree with you for a lot of the points and wish to share my opinions. I also agree that interviews were the hardest part of this class, because it became difficult to find relevant and educated people to interview towards the end of the semester. It is good that you learned about the mindset of entrepreneurs and even if you do not plan on becoming an entrepreneur one day, it is important to be able to think with an entrepreneurial mindset, which is something that you are now capable of doing. I also agree that this class would be more beneficial if you picked a product that you can feasibly make after the class is over. Overall, good job on your post.
