When I was in high school I started the Citrus Society because I love picking fruit and wanted to give back to the community. I got together with one of our teachers and some friends and got them all together to start this club. We would sell lemon drop candies around the school to fundraise and donate that money to the local food bank, as well as going on trips to the strawberry field near by to pick fruit. This was my first leadership role that allowed me to organize people and events. This was exciting because since I created it, I could implement my own ideas as well as the ideas from others.
I joined ENT3003 because I was curious to see how the entrepreneurship process worked. One of my friends graduated from UF and started her own business coaching service. Through this, she has created an extremely successful business all on her own and grown it very quickly. This made me start to think about entrepreneurship as a potential career option, and made me want to learn more about it. This lead me to enroll for ENT3003 to learn more about the process and how entrepreneurship works from the beginning to the end of the process.
